Since 1748, Villeroy & Boch has been committed to producing high-quality products for people to enjoy with their families. Ever wonder how that commitment to premium quality is achieved? Be transported to our German factory and enjoy a glimpse into the production of our first-class collections in this exclusive video:
There’s really not much that is better than cozying up with a warm beverage after a long day on the mountain. At Villeroy & Boch, we know how to make post-skiing time very special. Wintry cabins always feel better when our Artesano Hot Beverage mugs are filled to the brim—but first, you have to enjoy the slopes!
Where will you be going to enjoy your favorite hot drinks and cocktails this season? Our team put together our top five favorite ski resorts in the US to inspire your 2015 ski lodge getaway.
1. Telluride Ski Resort in Telluride, CO
Telluride is a must-go place on our list this year because it offers all the amenities of a resort and all of the adventure of a backcountry trip. With numerous hike-to-terrain locations throughout this resort, Telluride is a pro skier’s dream. Reach pure, unpopulated slopes by taking hikes to Bald Mountain, Black Iron Bowl, Palmyra Peak and the Gold Hill Chutes.
2. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Jackson Hole, Wyoming
With more than 2500 acres of ski slopes you can really get a great day in at Jackson Hole. But the mountain isn’t the only attraction here. You can head to “The Village,” a popular spot for delicious food, great shopping and a fun nightlife, or you can even see the sights at nearby mountains and parks with convenient day trips to Targhee, Snow King, Yellowstone National Park or Grand Teton National Park.
3. Alta Ski Area in Alta, UT
Alta has been up and running since 1939, making it one of the most historic ski resorts in the United States. With vast terrain and an average of 560 inches of snowfall each season, this resort is well worth the trip. And if the vast ski slopes aren’t enough for your adventurous side, you can opt for a helicopter or backcountry tour when you visit Alta.
4. Alyeska in Girdwood, Alaska
For a truly unbeatable winter experience we recommend heading to Alaska, where chilly air, freshly fallen snow and wonderful ski slopes are never lacking. At Alyeska, a rugged North Face is just waiting to be conquered. There’s a great amount of milder slopes for the novices in your crew as well. For those who want to pass up the downhill slopes altogether, some really wonderful cross country trails can be found throughout Girdwood.
5. Stowe Mountain Resort in Stowe, Vermont
We wanted to include a resort on the East Coast so that our fellow tri-state skiers have a winter weekend getaway that is drivable. For serious skiers and riders this option is wonderful because it is actually two full mountains with six distinct areas to take advantage of. For those who may like to relax on one day of the trip, this destination also caters to all of the ski lodge luxuries you desire, especially if you stay in the lavish Stowe Mountian Lodge, which has an on-site spa, an upscale restaurant and a ritzy lounge.
Now fill up your cup and enjoy the pride of a well-spent day!
It is with great excitement that I announce the schedule for my Winter 2013 Australian Tour.
The Australians have a dining culture that is similar to my German upbringing. They make a big deal of family dining and it is quite common for their meals to last hours. So, I always feel a bit at home when I visit down under. I look forward to seeing all of my old friends and hopefully meet some new ones. Please join me where you can and share your Aussie traditions with me!
