    WoW! That’s a hard one. I guess it would have to be homemade pork dumplings (gyoza) with homemade peanut dipping sauce. I adapted these recipes and now my family loves when we have them!

    I once made an entire Chinese food dinner for a large group. I got up at 3:00 a.m. and cooked all day until dinner at 6:00 p.m. It exhausted me but was so rewarding.

    The greatest thing I’ve ever made is my grandmother’s fudge pie. It’s absolutely delicious, rich and chocolately with a perfect piecrust. But she didn’t believe in recipes and all I had when I asked her to write it down was ‘a pinch of this’, ‘handful of that’. It took some experimentation, but I finally managed to recreate it. Such wonderful memories!

    hmm, a tough question but I’d probably say potato pie, made with beef, liver, onions and lots of potatoes all diced up cooked and then baked in the oven with a shortcrust pastry lid. Scrumptious.

    The greatest thing I ever made was a roasted leg of lamb with baby potatoes. It was on the fly and I made it up as I went along. It was amazing!!! I have made it many times over the years since because everyone liked it just as much as I did

    I love making potato croquettes seasoned with some finely chopped up sauteed onions, dill and salt. Deep-fried until crunchy on the outside with panko, and dipped in a little bit of ketchup or mayonnaise. So perfectly creamy on the inside and tastes like onion rings! One potato makes 10 potato croquette patties 😀

    My mother who has passed recently would make us her famous German goulash every winter to help keep us warm. All my family would come to enjoy the wonderful taste, when she passed everyone was talking at the funeral how they will miss her goulash, so the Saturday after her funeral I ask all family members to come to a gathering in remembrance of my mother, I served her goulash. they all hesitated to eat it saying no one can make her German goulash like she did, but I shocked them all because momma knew her time was coming and she made sure I could make it the same way she did. I even saw some family members with tears in their eyes while they ate the food that tasted like mommas great German goulash. Because of her German goulash my family will always stay near.

    Simple, yet very good vegetable dish: frozen thawed peas, 2 tbsp mayonaise, minced fresh onions (to taste), and salt/pepper. Sever chilled.
